Canon EOS 80D Digital DSLR is a high-end professional camera that shoots both stills and (short) video at 1080p. We used the 60D and 70D cameras in-class. This is the newest model as of December 2018.
Videography
The Sony PXW-Z150 4K XDCAM is a professional camcorder that can capture high-quality video. We used a Sony NX-70U in-class, which has similar controls, but the PXW-Z150 has a better imaging sensor, monitoring system, and image zoom.

360 Photos and Videos
The Samsung Gear 360 Camera allows you to shoot 4K video of an entire environment from a 360 view. For example, you could be in the center of Grand Central Station and capture video of everything around you at the same exact time, without moving the camera. Good quality for the cost.
The Samsung 128GB MicroSD Card with Adapter is required for the Samsung Gear 360 camera (and can be used with the DSLR and video cameras as well). The microSD card goes into the 360 camera, and you will need the adapter to insert the card into your computer.
Virtual Reality Headsets
The D-scope Pro Google Cardboard Kit with Straps is a low-cost viewer you can use with your phone to experience virtual reality applications designed for mobile platforms. There are cheaper versions of Google Cardboard, but this viewer is far more precise and durable overall.
Choose this headset if you want an inexpensive way to see VR on your phone.
The VR Shinecon provides noise-canceling audio, protection for your eyes and phone, higher durability, and more overall comfort and a better fit than any Google Cardboard kit. There are similar headsets with remote controllers, but I prefer this viewer in terms of quality and experience.

Playstation VR is a popular virtual reality system that, unlike Google Cardboard or the VR Shinecon, uses your Playstation 4 instead of your phone. This bundle includes a rescue mission game called ASTRO BOT and a beautiful, creature-filled, action-adventure game called MOSS.
Choose this headset if you have a Playstation 4 and want to play non-mobile VR games.
The Oculus Rift is a popular VR system that, unlike Google Cardboard or the VR Shinecon, uses your PC instead of your phone. Please make sure that your computer is running Windows 10 and has +8GB RAM plus at least a NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti/AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card.
