Since Fall 2000, Virgil has been teaching Foundations of Media Design at The New School University in New York City. He encourages his graduate students to utilize media as a expressive tool to communicate personally significant issues and subject matters.

The course covers a wide range of production work, theory, and lectures in photography, sound design, film/video, animation, and new media. Students are also trained to effectively structure, create and communicate a strong creative narrative in their work.

Week 1
INTRODUCTION TO MEDIA

LIGHTING THE IMAGE
